Saturday it will be two weeks since our garden was plowed and I could get into it.. I was out there last night and saw that my beets, onions and I think he said my beans were trying to peak up as well. My garden is 68’x92′ I think that’s the correct measurements. We have planted broccoli, red and green cabbages, butternut squash, zuchinis, pickling cucumbers, salad cucumbers, beets, carrots, lettuce, spinach, greenbeans, tomatoes, green peppers, banana peppers, peas. I am hoping that everything produces well this summer, I want to can everything I can get ahold of..

Finally A pretty day!
May! This is spring?
Josephine Mae
2 Sundays ago after church my 10 year old went up to our pastor.. And proceeded to tell him she wanted to get baptized. So one week later she was baptized. I think she expected a dove to come down from Heaven and land on her shoulder. She kept saying I don’t feel any different. It was a good day. The last of my babies to give their life to Christ.
It’s been a quiet but good week here. We possibly had a killing frost last night. I hope not the thought of not having cherries and peaches for another year is not a good one.Mike and CJ did go out and cover all of my flowers and rose bushes. I don’t have any garden planted yet thank goodness. But our neighbors had 27 tomato plants out. Mike and Cj also went down and covered up what they could for them. They were good to us during our powerless days and offered showers etc. SO since they were on a bus trip and not home we thought it was the least we could do for them.
Today the sun is shining brightly. And tomorrow will be back up in the 70’s. Last night for supper we had BLT’s and Tater tots. Tonight’s supper will be meatloaf, potatoes and carrots and a cherry crisp for dessert..

I am back and so is spring!
After 3 weeks and 1 day our power is back on! It was quite the experience I assure you. Today I am off to restock the fridge! Have a great day! Mike’s working nights for the next couple days.. Jo’s getting baptized on Sunday. She and I are going to a women’s thing at church Friday night so I made some potato salad.. Saturday the kids are all supposed to come and have a wiener roast. So it appears it’s quite a busy weekend!
Powerless still
Just letting you know that we are still without power. 2 weeks today. Spring is beautiful today.. It’s in the 70’s! We have finally gone back to church and are looking forward to meeting new people and learning more of God’s word.
I am at my sister’s house so I am borrowing her computer and internet usage! There isn’t much more to say today. Hopefully I will start writing things down as they happen so I have more to share when I get the chance to be online.
Take care.

Good Morning! I got up this morning when the alarm started going off for Mike. 3am.. I got up and cleaned off the table some and made Mike’s coffee.. It takes a little longer to brew it on the camp stove but I can still smell the aroma of coffee even though he’s gone now. It’s 4:34am. He started the generator for me as he left so I could get on here for a bit, charge my phone and run the deep freeze. I have to say again except for the pain in the butt of having no hot water things really aren’t that bad. I guess the children and I will have to get out a couple of puzzles or something.. We have been spending our days outside, but the rains are coming back this afternoon and may be here for the rest of the week.
Yesterday I did plant a couple of rose bushes and some pansies as well as hang 2 wind chimes.. Other than that there was just more cleaning around the patio of rocks leaves and dirt.
Have I showed you this picture before?
